First Wave made the short trip to Gillette Stadium on Monday afternoon to play against the Revolution Academy's U18 team.
It was a outstanding experience for everyone involved. First Wave warmed up on the Gillette Stadium field and moved to the Revolution's beautiful grass training surface after the Patriots decided to call a 3:45 pm practice.
First Wave were slow out of the blocks against a strong and exuberant Revolution side. Thankfully, First Wave found their equilibrium after the opening 20 minutes. The scoreline read 1-0 First Wave at halftime care of a Nick Figueiredo goal.
The Revolution equalized midway through the second half. Shortly afterward, Lee Moyes sprung Khano Smith who finished cleanly for 2-1 First Wave. Overall, it was a great experience for both teams.
