Lancaster, MA: First Wave ground out a 1-0 victory against a vastly improved Kendall Wanderers side Saturday morning at Citizens bank. A cohesive first half performance was punctuated by a fine goal from Nick F late in the half. Countering quickly, a precise Nick M cross was headed home for 1-0.

Kendall Wanderers definitely edged the second half. Sloppy passing and decision making by First Wave gave Kendall a lifeline and they took it to First Wave for long stretches of the half. Thankfully, Colin was outstanding in goal. In the end, the three available points were collected.

Last Saturday, First Wave defeated Kendall Wanderers B 4-1 in the First Round of the BSSL Cup. Nick F opened the scoring care of a long Tim M pass. Kendall B took their only real chance of the half and went into halftime 1-1.

The second half saw Matt L score a world class volley from outside the box for 2-1. Matt added a second as he was unselfishly played in by Khano, before Jeff L finished off the proceedings with an excellent goal for 4-1.

First Wave face MPS next Saturday morning in Lancaster.
